Alejandra joined TURN as an Operations Coordinator October 2023. As an Operations Coordinator, Alejandra supports the Chief Financial Officer and other staff members with Donor Relations, Administrative duties, & more.

Prior to TURN, Alejandra held a diverse background in account management working for startups where she actively contributed in creating diverse economic opportunities for local professionals. While her professional journey began in the startup world, her heart has always been drawn to making a meaningful difference in the world. This led to her transitioning into the role at TURN. 

Alejandra has also been involved in organizations that helped foster a supportive community and addressed the underrepresentation of minority groups in tech and education such as Latinas in Tech, How Woman Lead, Hermanas Unidas, & M.E.Ch.A. She is deeply passionate about working with underrepresented communities, as she believes that diversity and inclusivity are fundamental pillars of a just and equitable society. She has a genuine desire to help amplify the voices, rights, and opportunities of individuals and groups who have historically been marginalized.

Alejandra earned a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
