SELA Fall Convening 2024
Leaders from across Southeast Los Angeles united to brainstorm and develop advocacy strategies for the 2025 legislative cycle. The working session, titled "There Oughta Be a Law," focused on bridging real-life experiences and community issues with legislative and regulatory solutions to address the challenges facing communities throughout California.
Lobby Day 2024
Ratepayers United held its first in-person lobby day in Sacramento, dedicated to educating legislators on their key priorities for 2024.

Ratepayers United hosted a powerful storytelling training for Southeast Los Angeles community leaders, equipping them to share personal stories before the California Public Utilities Commission to push back against Southern California Edison's General Rate Case and advocate for fairer utility policies.

Community members from across Southern California Edison’s (SCE) service area, alongside leaders from Ratepayers United, gathered to voice their concerns on the proposed SCE General Rate Case (GRC) rate hikes.

TURN partnered with 6-8 community organizations to host an outreach event at Good Hope Baptist Church, where we helped community members access utility support programs like CARE, FERA, and Medical Baseline.
