Alejandra joined TURN in July 2022, as the Southern California Organizer. She was born in La Paz-Bolivia and worked as an attorney for the international cooperation. After moving to the United States, she graduated from American Military University (AMU) with a Master’s Program in Intelligence Studies. She has over sixteen years of experience organizing programs that involve progressive causes and leadership programs for underserved communities. In addition, she has been involved in programs which have particular emphasis in the political inclusion of women in politics.
Alejandra’s passion for organizing has been with her for years. From her background in law and campaigns, she developed an expertise in problem solving, relationship building, political advocacy and community organizing. Now in her role at TURN, she will use these skills every day to ensure that every family in California, has energy, broadband, and phone services. In her spare time, she enjoys reading history books, watching documentaries, physical fitness, and traveling.
