Ratepayers United @ CPUC April 3

SHARE YOUR STORY

SB 1142 promotes affordability and fairness in California’s utility system by standardizing disconnection policies. Without clear CPUC guidance, customers face inconsistent treatment, often depending on the discretion of a representative. By implementing payment caps, SB 1142 ensures a just and equitable approach to keeping households connected to essential energy services.

In-person hearing:

  • CPUC Auditorium
505 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, CA 94102

To request accommodations or interpretation in a language other than American Sign Language (ASL), commenters need to contact the Public Advisor's Office (public.advisor@cpuc.ca.gov) at least five business days before the PPH they plan to attend.
